Remember when it was the Azov Brigade?
Some details, since the Azov brand was shared in the past years.
1st Azov Corps (this interview), which was formed in 2025 from the 12th Brigade of the NGU.
And the 3rd "Azov" Brigade of ZSU (Ground Forces), currently a part of the 3rd Army Corps of ZSU and headed by their former commander.
Both Corps share not just the name but the same legacy and originate from the Azov Battalion, later Azov Regiment, that took an active part in the first phase of this war in 2014-2021.
Different branches today, but both are considered the top in terms of quality of troops and command, innovation, and effectiveness.

Saw this posted on LinkedIn...thought it was interesting and relevant to the topic at-hand:

A group of Romania's top military officers, including Chief of the General Staff Gheorghiță Vlad, has issued an official statement:

"Romania, as a close ally of Moldova, is ready to assist in the event of a russian attack. We are already helping Moldova strengthen its defense capabilities and have numerous joint programs. We have a law that provides for the protection of Romanian citizens located outside national borders in case of war.

A russian attack on a NATO country is unlikely, but it cannot be ruled out. We are soldiers — we cannot exclude any scenario, especially when russia frequently employs false-flag tactics in practice."

Many Moldovan citizens hold dual citizenship — both Moldovan and Romanian.

"Our response is strengthening the air defense system of the Russian Federation,"

I'm strongly disappointed, this is even less credible than the usual nuclear war threat !
