This kind of bully is always cowardly - obsessed with their own safety and security. This looks like one of the shrewder attempts to influence Trump. Of course, there's no mention anywhere of the various attempts to decapitate the Ukrainian leadership at the start of the war , or even of the drones that appeared at Shannon airport when Zelensky's plane was landing...

Look up the African nations, now in penury to pay back extravagant loans. The fact that the Central Asian nations must also consider geography is a factor in their decisions, but it doesn't mean that Chinese aid is beneficent. It means that geopolitics matters when you're neighbors.
I stand by my point: Chinese aid is very definitely a double-edged sword.
