There's lots of noise on the Interweb about significant areas in the Zaporizhia being liberated - talk of a 16 km breach in the Russian front line. Anyone know if this is actually happening?
 
Not NATO - it has too many Putin lovers in it who will never allow Ukraine in. The USA, Slovakia, Hungary, etc.

Start a whole new organisation with Ukraine (the real leader of the free world) as the official leader until Putin is dealt with. Include other countries the 3 aggressor nations are threatening.

And change article 5 to make support for attacked members compulsory by every member including calling in the attackers debt as well as funding the war by massively taxing the aggressor countries companies that are operating inside member countries.

And add a system to eject members that are pro Russia.

US/NATO intelligence reports China is very unhappy with Putin, and the Russian government in general. The war with Ukraine is seen by the Chinese leaders and government in general as both "idiotic" and "a disaster", though the phrase most often used in high level communiques is "embarrassing". The interruption of trade with China and stalled development of the multi-country Silk Road Initiative (aka Belt and Road Initiative) is on track to have cost China over $1 trillion dollars by mid-2026. This is having significant impacts on China's economy at home and abroad. Official (though non-public) messaging of China's "unhappiness" with the situation has been sent to the Russian government. A public message is being sent by China via the recently announced intent to send Ukraine an "energy assistance package". While the first package may be largely token in nature, there are plans to increase the (non-lethal) aid.

As it stands, they have literally pioneered the drone aspect of modern warfare.

Ukraine is in a unique position to share examples of best practice, and I wouldn't blame them if they chose those who have helped them the most, first.
S Korea and Taiwan are two obvious examples who would give their eye teeth to get fully up to speed. Those remote naval launches would severely endanger any naval invasion.

You could still use the NATO acronym: No Arseholes Treaty Organisation
 

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday expressed his gratitude after meeting with U.S. senators on the outskirts of the Munich Security Conference, thanking them for their "support for Ukraine and its warriors."

"Thank you to the senators for their unwavering bipartisan support for Ukraine and Ukrainians," Zelensky wrote on social platform X. "Thank you to every American heart for the help."

In the lengthy post, he outlined what they discussed from recent Russian strikes on his nation's energy infrastructure to the need for additional missiles and air defense systems for protection.

The meeting comes ahead of planned U.S.-mediated peace talks between Russia and Ukraine next week in Geneva, Switzerland. The conflict in Eastern Europe will hit the four-year mark on Feb. 24.

While the Ukrainian leader has voiced optimism for continued talks, he pressed the U.S. to move forward with increased sanctions on Russia.

"Increasing pressure on Russia through stronger sanctions can significantly strengthen diplomatic efforts," he wrote. "Thank you to the senators who support this position and are ready to pass the sanctions bill against Russia in the near future."
