There was no diversion. Not needed. Ports were secured overthere.
Still remember flocks of choppers going to Rotterdam harbour. They went in drones over my house.
A lot of them comming from Germany. Police getting everything out of the way on the road.
There was no complaining. Nothing. And thats something here. Everybody just got out of the way. Must have been like Big Red One was on the move again.
Now that should have been enough for poor old Saddam. But no. Poor sob.
The problem is how effective has the Russofication of these areas have been after 8 years. Then again, Putin has seen to it that separatists willing to die for the cause already have.Crimea gets all the attention, but in 2014 Russian-backed separatists seized what Russia calls the Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic. Unlike Crimea, these two areas were not annexed by Russia before the 2022 invasion. Without this new war I think Ukraine stood little chance of retaking these areas. It will be something to see Ukraine retake Donetsk city.

To be fair, this thinking does line up exactly with Russian culture. Stalin purged his generals because to Russians there is no concept of loyal underlings, only potential usurpers. And, to Russians the idea that the president is not the smartest military strategist and thus should defer to the experts is impossible. External bravado combined with internal insecurity drives their culture, as best I can tell. But this one is the best of them. Zaluzhny has been eliminated by Zelensky:
Zelenskyy's team could eliminate Zaluzhny with "a heroic death at the front"
