Turkey was on the sales list for the F-35 until Erdogan made the most stupid of decisions to purchase Russian S-400 SAMs. There is no way Turkey could receive F-35s when it was paying Russian contractors to maintain their primary SAM system. Erdogan only has himself to blame.

It is reported that Russians used 10 million shells during the first year of war, which nearly exhausted their reserves, that is why they are importing from Iran and North Korea.
They are also rumping up production . Rumors say they can expand to 1 million shells per year.

This seems a dangerously poor use of a Leopard 2. It can fire with high accuracy on the move, there's no need to use the Leo2 like a WW1 Sturmpanzerwagen. This guy's just asking to be fixed and targeted by Russian artillery.

July 12 (Reuters) - General Sergei Surovikin, a deputy commander of Russia's military operations in Ukraine who has not been seen in public since last month's armed mutiny by mercenary fighters, is "resting", a lawmaker from the ruling party said on Wednesday.

Andrei Kartapolov, head of the State Duma Defence Committee, is heard saying in a video posted on social media: "Surovikin is currently resting. (He is) not available for now."

Surovikin, dubbed "General Armageddon" by the Russian press for his aggressive tactics in the Syria conflict, was last seen publicly when he issued a video appeal urging a halt to the June 23-24 mutiny by fighters of Yevgeny Prigozhin's Wagner mercenary group while it was still underway.
