More large Russian armoured attacks being reported. Tactic seems to be using 'meat wave' attacks by small, light forces over several days/weeks to identify weaker points in the defensive line, and then follow up with a rapid armoured attack to try to punch a hole in the Ukrainian line.

Three armoured attacks reported in the last week featured 40+ vehicles and at least one had 60+. In a single attack near Kurakhov, Ukrainian forces claim to have destroyed 8 Russian tanks, 12 infantry vehicles and 10+ light/soft skinned vehicles.

A number of Russian mil blogger channels are talking about this being a "positional" offensive, as they're worried about the logistics situation leading into autumn. However, there's also more talk about a manpower shortage and possible "second wave" of mobilisation.

A couple of effects are being observed: more poorly trained conscript "assault" infantry showing up in combat zones; wounded troops being returned to the front before they've healed; assault grouping commanders scooping up rear area security and some specalists (communications, vehicle drivers, artillery crews) as replenishments for attack groups.
