After India's bad purchase experience, and China turning one of those carriers into what is essentially a museum or amusement park, I'm skeptical many will be willing to buy anything more. Especially a large target that can't shoot that far.

South Korea bought one but only to scrap it. Protests there led them to sell it on to the Chinese -- that was the one they made into a tourist attraction by a private company.

India actually turned their investment into a serious machine.
The INS Vitramaditya is a front line carrier (after extensive modifications).

I find it interesting that Russia "claims" that carriers are obsolete, yet the Indian Navy has better naval force projetion than the Russian Navy...
 
If and its a big If, Russia could get any carrier operational then how long would it last without much in the way of aircraft (few built and they lost a number due to accidents), no airborne EW capability (India is less than happy with the Ka31), no reliable AA defence (see how they are working in Ukraine), no modern anti submarine helicopters (has to be the lowest Russian Military priority at the moment) and escort ships that are very cautious (putting it mildly) of leaving harbour.

I would equate a Russian Carrier with the DKM's Tirpitz.
It looks powerful and symbolic, but only while it's tied up in relative safety.
