Earlier this week, there was a reported incursion in Ireland as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was arriving.

"Four unidentified military style drones breached a no-fly zone and flew towards the flight path of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy's plane at sea near Dublin Airport late on Monday night," The Journal, an Irish publication, reported. "The plane landed, slightly ahead of schedule, just moments before the incident happened at about 11 p.m. The drones reached the location where Zelensky's plane was expected to be at the exact moment it had been due to pass."

On Friday, CBS News confirmed that "nidentified drones breached Ireland's airspace this week" during Zelensky's visit.

Right now, the behavior and dictats coming from the current resident of the White House is making Neville Chamberlain's diplomacy regarding the Sudentenland appear the height of statemanship. This peace plan is the biggest reward a third party has given an invader in modern history.

Ireland needs something resembling an air defense system. Against drones, a few PC-9s with RCMG would be adequate. Something that could keep up with a Russian MPA would be better

I am sure I read a couple of days ago (before this) that Russia told US diplomats to not go to Ireland. Hmmm...

The Russian ambassador to Ireland is a typical Kremlin noisemaker...

Taoiseach rejects Russian ambassador's criticism of Zelenskiy visit | BreakingNews
From the article:
"I would say to the Russian ambassador to please bring back the message to the Russian government to please engage and stop this war."
For the average Russian mind (and not only of diplomats), the word "please" indicates not the courtesy but the weakness of the opponent. And repeated twice, almost a self-humiliation.

Tangentially or directly related...
"Ukraine: A strong majority (62%) want Ukraine to prevail in its war with Russia, and 64% support sending U.S. weapons, up 9 points from last year, with bipartisan gains (59% of Republicans, 75% of Democrats). "
" Taiwan: If China invaded Taiwan, 60% would support committing U.S. forces to its defense—up from 48% last year. Seventy-seven percent believe it is important for the U.S. military to defend Taiwan against Chinese aggression.
NATO: Favorability toward NATO has reached its highest level ever at 68%, with strong bipartisan support for Article V commitments. "
