I had to look up Unity Mitford, but I agree with you completely: Chamberlain was largely (in my opinion) without a viable alternate course of action. He was clear-eyed about Nazism and what it represented. Mitford was an avid supporter, a Hitler fanboy (well, fangirl...). Sounds kinda familiar.....
