Actually was thinking about something...
If ever mullas in iran get toppled, what would be effects on Russia, on grand scale?
Lets say that Russia have good military capabilities, both for its Ground and Air Forces, also tons of natural resources, including oil.
I mean Drones are not something that Russia can't make them locally, beside that Russia is well known for its Tanks and Military Aircrafts.
In terms of political power, Russia is way more powerfull than Iran.
Exactly what would Russia loose?
I would think of loosing access to tons of "brainwashed" terorists like Hamas and Hezbollah, but i don't think they (Hamas and Hezbollah) care about Russia and Ukraine, or the EU, in general.

If there's an overthrow, and I don't think that's as likely in the short term as some may, there is no real predicting what the new regimes foreign (or domestic) policies would be. It's possible that it would be more closely aligned to Russia or more supportive of terrorists, or more repressive.
Repressive regimes can survive for a long time, even if not actively supported by foreign actors. Look at, for example, North Korea's quasi-monarchy.

They would arguably lose access to having Iran push their proxies attack Israel thus helping deflect the "west's" attention away from Ukraine. I am convinced that this is what happened in 7 October 2023.

I'm not convinced that Iran's current management needs any urging to push their proxies, and I'm similarly convinced that Iran's regime has more domestic support than some people seem to believe.

The problem is, to the muslim terorists eye, anyone other than themselves, is enemy! Sunni muslims in Iraq and Arab world, See Iranians Shiite a thread, same goes for other religious groups.
Russia is a majority Christian Country, an enemy in their ideology! They prefer die trying to kill a Russian, rather than temporary alliance with them, regardless of possible profits. Same goes for Americans and Europeans.

I'm only convinced in one thing: Two Kings can't exist in same real. It's either Israel's right, which i believe it is, or Palestinians right, which i don't think so.
Besides that, Russia itself is had tasted Muslims Terror, multiple times. It's why i don't think Russia is not also interested in working with them.
It is not the case that the individual fighters care about Russia or Ukraine. Rather it is a case that Russia takes advantage of their 'alliance' (loose term but given both Russia and Iran have common enemies in the form of the 'West' and are actively providing each other weapons support) essentially says to Iran "look comrade, it would be really useful to our mutual aims if you could stir up some trouble in Israel...that would help give us some room to do other things...we will make it worth your effort...." Iran then agrees and gets the likes of Hamas to go do something -= and let's be honest, the fighters on the ground don't need much pushing and they don't really care why they are being asked since it aligns with their own motives anyway. In the end, they are just being semi-willing pawns.
BTW when I talk about countries here, I am not saying everyone in said countries or groups think this way. It is really only a few, well placed individuals. but that's all it generally takes.
