Besides, I'm pretty sure they have theor hands full with the Israelis and Americans at the moment, plus several Arab natiins ha e had enough of their missile attacks and may soon join in.

Iran has just made a smart move. This will free up much of the movement of oil and lower oil prices again in every country except the US and Israel.
Better still it will allow all the nations that support Ukraine to increase their support and tell the US administration that they will not be reducing sanctions or actions against Russia. Some countries may also start buying Iranian oil to replace the other sources which have been damaged because of this war.

I would expect that transshipping of oil through a combat zone, no matter the flagging of the vessels, will likely raise insurance rates to the point that supplies are reduced worldwide.. I'm also skeptical that Iranian oil will be able to get out for sale, myself.
Oil, like money, is fungible. When the supply is reduced, the price rises, just as when the supply of money goes down, inflation increases.

Overall I am beginning to suspect this self inflicted wound the US administration have given themselves could end up being the best thing possible for Ukraine as it has great potential to result in the Europeans and others throwing off their subservience to the USA and quickly finishing Putin's Special Military Operation in Ukraine's favour.

I would expect that the insurance costs will not be crippling unless the vessel is US owned or indirectly owned by a corporation that is partly or wholly US owned. Yes insurance companies are greedy scum but the indisputable fact that there are lots of ships carrying Russian oil from several locations in a wide combat zone where a number of ships have already been damaged, sunk or seized. That is probably indicative of the insurance costs when the only two countries likely to sink a tanker are both already regretting the almost universal public backlash from starting this mess. Given there is a well known high risk threat against Russian ghost tankers and only a much lesser theoretical threat against the same ships carrying oil through the strait I would expect the premiums to be somewhat lower and therefore the ship owners to be far more interested in Arab cargoes.
Add to that it should be possible to hire many of the Russian shadow tankers as they will not need to fear being boarded by EU nations or sunk by Ukrainians and others. That would be a big plus for Ukraine and a kick in head for Putin and his US support staff.
If the US bombs the Kaarg Island terminal or sinks a ship the backlash outside the US will be massive and seen as the US bully crippling the worlds fuel and fertilizer industries just because they can. At that point the current administration will have confirmed beyond any shadow of a doubt the already very widespread belief outside the US that they cannot spell and have truly made America GRATE again.
I hate to say it but this war is highly likely to make America irrelevant because it will be the people and not the perps that suffer. This war may well be the straw that breaks the proverbial camels back.
Americans as a whole are great people but they have a totally unrealistic view of how the world views them as is shown by almost any poll on almost any subject. Check out these polls from a year ago before the US administration bullied India and Thailand. You can check the regular six monthly reports from earlier but there was no October 25 report. Will there be an April 26 report? We only have to wait a month to find out.

I expect some or many will refuse all demands from the aggressors not to buy Iranian oil. They all know that this mess started when one man refused to listen to his own and other scientists and bullied them into sanctioning Iran. Many governments have had enough of being bullied and treated with utter contempt and will now consider their own political needs first. Some may decide Iran needs compensation for those sanctions and all the following military actions against a country that WAS complying with the International Atomic Energy Commissions inspections and requirements. The US administration will scream blue murder when other nations break agreements with the US but given that this administration has shattered so many both long and short standing agreements no one outside the US will give a proverbial s h one t.

EDIT - even if oil flowed freely starting tomorrow the price would remain high for the same reason the prices went up within hours of the war starting - profiteering based on the possibility that the oil flow might stop again.

Little things like insurance costs and 1% drops in availability mean a lot in a market so large, especially to speculators in the commodities markets. And make no mistake, they drive the end-prices that we feel at the pump.

As far as I know, no information about any military cooperation between Ukraine and Israel. There was a brief report (after the Iranian threat) about a planned discussion regarding the anti-drone defence.
I wouldn't be surprised if this Iranian politician is on the Kremlin's payroll. Moscow is the party that wins the most in the potential Iran-Ukraine confrontation.
