That has to be among the least efficient use of drones. Eight hundred drones lost to kill six civilians? Any is awful, but I bet more Ukrainians died that day in automobile accidents or slip and falls.

I had never thought of it that way but there is an element of truth there that needs to be considered.

The other factors though are the buildings damaged/destroyed and utility services interrupted, the delays in delivering essentials and the destruction of other assets. Those also need to be factored in and on those metrics those 800 drones probably achieved a significant result in Russia's favour.

I never understood why Russia expended precocious resources on civilian targets like they do.

If Putin thought that terrorizing civilians in this manner would have them capitulate, then he clearly missed history class.

When the Germans rolled into Ukraine, they were greeted as liberating heroes.
As soon as the Germans started killing everyone, the citizens reacted with a resolve.
