There is one interesting thing. He was given 3 days of stormtrooper training, but was ordered to sign the document for 3 weeks of training.
And it (once again) brings me back to the topic of "accurate and detailed archives" debated in WWII-related threads. Imagine a historian in 70 years from now who studies the training in the Russian army during this war.
"Ah, we have those Russian documents, and they are perfect! It's a document from a state archive, so it should be true!".

Absolutely guaranteed.

Tangentially related - we have the RAAF Historical Branch claiming all their WW2 documents are 100% accurate, a book by a retired RAAF Air Commodore who commanded a repair unit in WW2 that says they are a crock, and lots of records that are patiently untrue - like one Spitfire was destroyed three times, none of which was the location I salvaged it from - and another Spit with an RAF serial that never existed.

Agreed about conflict in documentation.

Case in point: I have had arguments with modelers regarding late war Luftwaffe camo, them stating strict RLM documents and such.
Meanwhile, a dear friend of the family (who has long since passed) who was with JG27, told how dire the supply situation was late war, that they bartered with a local SS Panzer Gruppe for camouflage paint.

Imagine that, Luftwaffe aircraft in non-RLM colors in spite of "documentation"
