I will say nothing at all but IS Khorasan Province had others ideas. In May 2024 a group of spanish tourists were ambushed and 4 were killed.
It's a difficult subject. The best both governments can do is to resolve such issues amicably without public scandals and leave the history to historians, but from time to time, **it hits the fan...A related self inflicted wound.
