Some very interesting news in the last week about Ukraine gaining significant ground during "Operation Vivaldi' around Donetsk. Reports are that they managed to break through multiple Russian lines of defense and nipped off the Russian thrust attempting encirclment of Lyman from the north.
Ukraine is claiming north of 125sqkm taken in under a week, with some reports stating at least 200 sqkm of ground have been liberated.
OSINT sources like the ISW are saying Ukranian forces pushed back Russian forces at least 20km across a front about 8-12 km wide, with some geolocated social media posts showing Ukrainian troops up to 35 km behind where the grey zone/front line used to be.
