Back for another round. These are the shiny cars of the collection in their usual displays and at play on one of the drive arounds . Check out the little artworks on the hoods. Back when cars had style (except Trans Ams of course)! These included the lower floor pieces that are very rarely seen! The Duesenberg was the test car that killed Fred D. The red Cadillac used to belong Al Capone.
Remember I paint not photograph. Sorry some are are little fuzzy...

The Auburn Boat tail Speedster for me....
... and Cord 812 for me!

I saw this car for the first time (a photo of it, not a real one) when I was 10 or 12. My grandfather was still alive then and he was my mentor in almost everything, but mainly cars, warfare, weapons (he was a WWI and WWII veteran), technology. I still remember that I asked him: What is this car and where are the headlights? He knew it was a Cord. His first car was a Ford A - roadster in the late 20s - early 30s, but he couldn't remember having seen a Cord in his time.
I still can see that boy sleeping in one room with his grandpa and having long discussions with him every night after the lights went off. At that night I'm sure I told him: Granpa, I want to have a car like this.
Yep, I still want...
Great photos, Tieleader!

There was a later follow on using the Cord dies named Hollywood Graham which was rear wheel drive while the Cord was Front wheel drive hence the extended front. The Hollywood Graham used a Continental flat head six if my memory still works. The only one I ever saw up close, hands on, was one which some cretin put in a Cadillac engine. That owner came to our neighbor hood to see another neighbor's Cord which was always closed in his garage except for rare occasions, punctuated by "You kids get outta my yard."
