Pilot on left, my old man, Lt. Jim Thompson. Plane still in south pacific, he never wanted to talk about it so I don't have much insight as to what went on.
I heard somewhere that Dark Eyes got sunk on a reef somewhere; anyone know anything about it?

Mike, did you check this thread?
BTW "sunk on a reef somewhere" doesn't mean this a/c crashed or was hit. At the end of WWII many B-25s (and other planes too) didn't return home but were simply dumped into the ocean.
