According to Wiki that squadron flew from the 'Canal in 1942, and against the Marshalls (home base not mentioned) in 1944. If the vid is indeed from 1944, it narrows it down to CenPac, but hard to find the operational basing in that time period.

Thank you! With that info and date I looked up their war records and they were based at Naval Air Facility Majuro (NAF Majuro), Marshall Islands. During that period they were dive bombing Mille Atoll targets.

My thanks are to both you and mjfur! Knowing the squadron really narrowed it down and confirmation of location sealed the deal.

Definitely CentPac. Those are SBD-5s which confirm the date as 44.
