Nice work, and don't sell yourself short.
I did a similar thing on my 1/48th scale B-17G, although I didn't 'clad' the area around the wing slot - I just fabricated the frame work, based on the detail on the bottom of the central beam, provided in the kit, and using photos of the bomb bay.
Did this on the 1/48th B-17F as well, although that's since joined the model graveyard - and one of these days, I'll finish the final bits on the B-17G ........ it's only been about 24 years since I touched it last !!!

I was able to get more done on the bomb bay area. I built up the ribbing on the door then fitted the aft bulkhead in the bay. This part is kind of tricky because I still have the office to make on the reverse side. There was also the part that is outside the tube portion that had to be blocked off. Seems to have come out ok. Thanks for following.

Appreciate any comments.

Thanks all... much appreciated. Still working on the bomb bay; I had realized that I had made a mistake on the wall but that is now corrected. Pictures to follow when I can. My granddaughter is very ill in a hospital. Severe complications from E-Coli bacteria she was exposed to. Had three blood transfusions thus far and she is only 3 1/2 years old. Nothing I can do so I wait and pray. :(

Here is an update to the build... as I discover mistakes, I do my best to correct them. In this case I had put the sidewall braces in the wrong place and configuration. I have made the corrections on the but also discovered a couple of mistakes on the bomb bay door. Nothing major but I will correct it when I have a chance.

Using wine wrap foil, I used a punch set to make rivits.

Now the side walls are correct.
Starting the central walkway.

Thanks.

Moving on, I was able to get more completed on the bomb bay area. Mostly focusing on the central walkway part. It's not done yet but did manage the main part. Upright portion maybe next weekend depending on available time.
