May 9, 2024 #1 K Kismet Recruit 6 3 Apr 2, 2024 Hi group, I got this gear/magneto part from a B17G that crash landed on Samsoe Denmark 9th of Oct. 1943. I have read through manuals for the B17G plane and Wright R-1820-97 engine but I'm not able to identify which part of the plane it came from I'm not a plane expert so figuring I'm looking at the wrong engine model? Does any know from the part number? 37A CX76755 (2/1) 37A CX76765/1 Description here: Plane 237 B17 42-37718 - Alstrup, Samsø Attachments 20240509_092557.jpg 1.7 MB · Views: 6 20240509_092605.jpg 1.4 MB · Views: 8 20240509_092614.jpg 1.4 MB · Views: 8 20240509_092626.jpg 1.7 MB · Views: 7 20240509_092633.jpg 1.8 MB · Views: 7 20240509_092701.jpg 1.5 MB · Views: 7 20240509_092717.jpg 1.2 MB · Views: 5 20240509_092724.jpg 1.3 MB · Views: 8 Last edited: May 9, 2024

Any other markings , pressed factory stamps there?
