Is the co-pilot okay?
I didn't understand

I came across a post from 2013 on some old forum where someone brought up the idea of restoring all the markings on the aircraft; since that's exactly what we've been working on for the past week, I figured it would be appropriate to document all this effort in a more proper, presentable way.

Given my recent experience with the B-26, I'd like to try something similar with the Corsair. I'm confident I can handle it, but the issue is that I only have a couple of photos, and they're all from the same angle... Are there any more images of this aircraft available online?

The inscription ...

RP
NAVIGATION
Aid

IMHO ...the icon painted there seems to be the emergency barricade ( net ) used when using of the arresting hook failed.

What does it say there?

Balls Deep .. apart its sexual context I would say it says it is to describe that something or someone is really deep into something. In the case it's a synonym of neckdeep fully immersed or committed into troubles.

And what are these scribbles?*

Actually we should ask the guy who wrote that there. Judging by the context I would say it means somebody who appeared there at the last minute and suddenly. Or it means somebody with the rights to fish in waters belonging to others. In the case the "St" there is the abbreviation for saint. Because it is a joke IMHO it is quite to say it meaning for sure.

St. Pis - . - ary on the scen.

I'm sourcing material both from photographs and from this website. A guy there was restoring these same decals—just like I am—but there are some I don't quite understand; specifically, I'm not sure where he got them, or if he perhaps just made them up—I really don't know. This is especially true for the front section, near the engine. Unfortunately, that area happens to be covered by the wings.

I understood. IMHO the inscription on the top of the engine compartment is " To be ..... with the B.... ) or " To bell with the B...."
Because there is a such expression "saved by the bell" – saved at the last moment/by a hair's breadth in the English I believe it is something like that.
The guy you linked to his built created the decals but it seems to be for the another Corsair.

Yes, thats very possible because the landing on the USS Boxer was the mistake. So the being rescued by the carrier sounds good.

BTW .. here is the Corsair the guy created the decal markings for. So if you may notice it wasn't the one with the M letter on the fin.
