Given that Vol.II of Consolidated Mess probably won't be published until after I'm dead, I wish that someone would publish an in depth, verified study of the evolution and variations(sometimes bizarre) of the armament of the B-24D. With the exception of the Martin 250AC top turret, all the gun positions varied through modifications at the factory or in the field. The how's and why's of the nose guns could probably fill a volume alone. Looking forward to it.
