Thank you Micdrow for the new photos. I think I have seen a different picture of 23224. Was that the plane that was used fly the Russian ferry pilots and inspectors to the accept the lend lease planes? Sorry, that was what URSS phot was used for.
I was surprised to read that the Russians would used B25 as a cargo plane and troop transport. I have never seen the B-25 with drop tanks, it does not look right.

Hi DBII, interesting, cardboard tanks. I will see what I can find. I did find these pictures while looking that you may find interesting though.
Im not finding any pictures of drop tanks, have found some of the following armament but not in russian markings. They are depth charges, wing rockets, radar pod, torpedo and glide bombs. Will keep my eyes out though. Did find a few more pictures.
Bottom photo is one of five B-25Bs delivered by Soviet freighter Dekabrist to Murmansk in December 1941. None were used for combat, only training. This one became the personal aircraft of I P Mazuruk. Seen here in September 1942 on route from Krasnoyarsk to Fairbanks leading a group of PS-84 (license built C-47, later called Li-2) passenger aircraft carrying Soviet acceptence committee's specialists and ferry pilots to Alaska.
Thanks guys. I am pricing airbrushs now so I can get back to work.

Sounds like I will be laughing about this later.
