The V-280 Valor is a project born in response to requests made by the U.S. Army in anticipation of the replacement of the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter currently in service. In the design activities Bell, in order to build and test the model, has gradually built up a team, called "Valor", made up of companies from various sectors including Lockheed Martin, Israel Aerospace Industries, GKN Aerospace and General Electric.
