Sure do, particulary sad are the view of the dead circus animals.

According to some old guy working in the Goethe Institut of Cordoba, from 1942 and ownwards all animals killed in bombing raids were inspected and some of them handed over to the population...for eating

Is an story I ve heard not really sure if its accurate.

Truly sad. That just aint right, feed em to the population. But when hungry, we eat. :|

And various escaped from this jails as read in: RAF History - Bomber Command 60th Anniversary
26/27 November 1943
The Berlin Zoo was heavily bombed on this night. Many of the animals had been evacuated to zoos in other parts of Germany but the bombing killed most of the remainder. Several large and dangerous animals - leopards, panthers, jaguars, apes - escaped and had to be hunted and shot in the streets.
