Before going all misty eyed read Why American aces had lower scores than anybody else
Bribery off high echelon officers on a wide scale.

Is that an item in the vid??

Well he shouldnt put on such a daft click bait title then.

Right ... and he even addresses that. The definitive answer is that there's no way to make the judgement.

Watching the video first before critiquing it helps me out.

I think he mentioned he was in the Austrian army and is a military historian.

There is no end of internet topics asking for The Best Whatever.
But what they nearly all have in common is
not the merest attempt to provide a set of criteria.
So
usually such surveys turn into partially-informed popularity contests.
Rendering the subject moot
or irrelevant
or something.

The video directly addresses this by pointing out that because there's no agreed criteria, rendering such discussions meaningless.
Then why watch the F..n video?

Then why watch the F..n video?

I dunno, maybe it's aimed at people who think things like 'best German general" can be cut-and-dried fact?

I'm still busy wondering why folks are bent out of shape by a video they obviously haven't watched.
