Curious if anyone could provide insight on the spinner cap for the Bf109K-4, in particular some spinners were 2/3 black-1/3 white, while others had the spiral band. Would it have been possible to repaint over the spiral with the 2/3-1/3 design? With the new release Kotare 109K-4 this question was asked recently. There seems to be some disagreement over this happening. There is one photo, I dont have it on this computer, but to me it appears the original spinner had the spiral on it and was overpainted with the 2/3-1/3 design, as it looks like the paint had faded enough to barely see the original.

Anything is possible. It was just paint. Could have been done at the Squadron level.
