I'm in the middle of scratching out a Boeing F4B-4 biplane. Since this aircraft type falls in the between World Wars, I'm just curious as to whether or not this qualifies to be posted on this group site. Got lots of build photos.

Any word will be appreciated.

Hi Gary,

The GB title says all eras so the Boeing F4B-4 would fit. However the GB is going to be closed on 9 Jun. I doubt you may finish it in the few days. Anyway it's your choice ... :)

Sorry Gary but this GB closed on 9 Jun but you can always open a thread in the "Start to Finish Builds" and post all your pics of the build that you have taken and then carry on in that thread showing your build as it progresses. As already said, we would like to see it. :thumbright:

Thank you for your response. I'll try to squeeze in some posts & photos as much as possible as time & room permits.

Cheers,

Gary

Looking forward to seeing this, the F4B-4 was one of my favorite Interwar aircraft. I think I can blame that on the old (but still very good) 1/72 Monogram kit. It's a shame Monogram didn't do one in 1/48, too. I've got the Classic Airframes kit, but that doesn't look like it will be nearly as fun to build.

Thank you very much for your comments! It's greatly appreciated.

Before delving into the build itself, I thought I'd share with you that Hasegawa also makes the F4B-4 in 1/32nd scale. Although I must admit I was surprised that it is somewhat diminutive in size for this scale as the following photos will show.

I also just took a photo of me holding my 1/10th scale model for comparison.

I'll get into posting as soon as possible. It might take me a day or so as I've got a massive cleanup ahead of my wife & I after hosting our Fourth of July party. I always felt the success of a party can be measured by the mess left behind. LoL.

Cheers,

Gary

Thank you. I'll start posting real soon. Lots of information to try to collect in an orderly fashion.

Hi,

Unfortunately the GB has been over and I would suggest creating your thread in the Start to Finish section. The GB is closed now.
