Buzzer on british aircraft

I would like to know exactly in what circumstance did this device work; according to the label on board, it should buzz just in case the wheels are not locked down, but someone states that it screams whenever throttle is below 30% and undercarriage up. Thanks in advance.

Your photo is a screen shot from a video game and the text on the warning sticker may not be totally accurate.

Typically the "Gear Warning Horn or Buzzer" would activate when the throttle was pulled back below 20%-30% and the gear was still up to prevent landing with the gear up.
A Green light when gear down and locked was typical for indicating Locked Down as described by the sticker to the right of what you have circled.

And Usually Flap position also comes into play with the landing gear warning. So usually it is Engine Power below a certain level, gear not extended, and flaps not extended. Also there is usually a weight on wheels switch that is involved. If the aircraft is on the ground it will also prevent the warning horn from sounding.
But on modern Airliners it gets a bit more complicated as engine power is not reduced that far due the slow acceleration of modern Jet engines with high bypass fans. The keep the engine power on and raise the angle of attack, and depend on the gear and flap extension to slow the aircraft down in case a go around is required.

Oddly enough, this warning finds no link inside manual text (which does not mention any buzzer):

In any case, I wonder how could the pilot tolerate a landing pattern or a descent from, say, 20000' being plagued by this horrible sound...

That's your Hurricane, which didn't have the buzzer/horn, but a light instead as you've highlighted above.

Beats me. In my scouring of technical manuals for our Mosquito restoration I've come across a number of inconsistencies. Perhaps the pilot's notes reflect an earlier or later installation for which the diagram was not updated or vice versa.

EDIT: Found this in AP1564A Vol 1 for the Hurricane Mk I

I believe the reference to the warning light in the excerpt above is from AP1564B & D covering the Hurricane Mk IIA thru D and IV. The instrument panel figure in that manual is not consistent with the wording in the services description.

Great! Perfect analysis! Indeed text I reported above was from Hurricane Mk.IIA-B-C-D&IV manual. My thesis is that the buzzer rang only if and when wheels were not locked and NOT always when undercarriage was up and throttle less than one-third open. Anyway, the absence of any buzzer on Hurricane from Mk.II onward "cut to the chase", so to speak.
