Again a RAF camera question...attached a pic of two wooden parts which seem to be connected with the camera installiation in Spitfire PRXI...

looks like they are brackets to hold camera on, see attached cutaway.
possibly the mounting for the camera motors No 115 in cut away ?

Yes...saw this cutaway too and agree that it could well be Karl. Thanks for posting. Difficult to confirm though.

What makes you think it's a Spitfire X
I? The mounting of cameras was fairly typical. Here's the mount for a B,35 Mosquito (photo or Weeks' RS712 by Mel Johnstone). Note that the rear beam is missing.

The guy who owns them said they had come from a Spitfire PR XI...but couldn't find definitive info of exactly what and where. Probably because he has the earlier wooden cradle mounting in mind.Thanks for the photo's...cool info.
