Hello everyone,

I am trying to figure out what this is for. I think it is part of an electrical system on an aircraft, and the story I got is that it was off of a B52. It has a recessed gear on the bottom, and came with a silver "bullet" top that sits over the top of the item. There are electrical wires coming off of it. Maybe a relay, alternator or starter? There is a "curtiss number" and it was maybe made by the "electrolux co" with a serial number. Any suggestions on what it is?

Thanks,
Gary

Very similar to Curtiss prop feathering motor.
Electrolux made them for Curtiss Electric propellers.

Agreed
Curtiss Electric prop motor and reduction gearbox tho I do not have any idea from which aircraft.
The gearbox and triangular mounting are the same as on the P-40 props but the motor section is much too small for the P-40

Thank you! I really had no clue what it was.
