Here follows the picture of the P-40K "White 13":
captioned on various sources (e.g.: "Curtiss P-40 in action" by Ernest McDowell, 1976 - Squadron/Signal Publication) as:
"Curtiss P-40K(-5) Warhawk 51st FG 25th FS, Assam (Valley), India, 1944"
About this unit, I found on the internet that it has been in service in India until October 1943, then was tranferred to China (Kunming, 2 Oct 1943), returning to India only in September of 1945.
So, I wonder how at least two P-40K (there was also another one nicknamed "LIZ") could be during 1944 in India, or if the caption thus far reported is wrong and the two aircrafts were actually in China.
Thanks for any help,
GB
