In April 2016 they had an open house at American Aero, an outfit at New Smyrna Beach that does a lot of restoration work and works on the Collins airplanes before they do their annual tour. It was raining, so the P-40B was inside. The airplane had been wrecked there in 2015 when the tailwheel started shimmying badly. I don't know how long it had been repaired at the time I saw it.
By the way, I assume that the hole in the right wing root is for cockpit fresh air.
They had some other unusual airplanes there as well. You know, back in the 60's when I was building models of those airplanes I'd have never have believed I'd be looking at a P-40B and a B-25H.
