HI All, I hope I have posted in the correct place. I am looking for technical documents for the Curtiss P-40B or C essentially the same as the Tomahawk MkIIa or IIb. I have the POH or rather the pilots notes and also the parts catalogue. I would really like to find any of the AP2013 series of publications or T.O. 01-25CF2 and T.O. 01-25CF3. Any help would be much appreciated!

The AL # can be found at the front of the manual as can the edition number. For large format manuals it can vary - two examples are:
For pocket manuals the AL is usually as below and the edition on the cover and title page.
A typical US manual with initial issue and revision date.
- Which pilots notes - there was more than one edition and the differences are important. Some are large format and some are pocket size. Please identify what edition(s) you have. For AP's that will be AL# - for US manuals the revision status is on the title page.
- Same for parts catalogue.

Hi Mitasol, Thanks for the reply, I have a copy of the pilots notes, I am really looking for the more technical manuals. So AP2013a Vol 1, 2 and 3 would be the holy grail. I have found T.O. 01-CF-1 which is the P40b and C parts catalogue i.e. non illustrated parts catalogue which is very useful, but the accompanying T.O. 01-CF25-2 & 3 contain all the parts and assembly illustrations. It might make more sense if I explain that I am looking at the feasibility of restoring a Tomahawk MIIb. I would like to compare the parts manual with the available drawings to get an idea of what the unknown areas are, i.e. what drawings are missing for the early P40C/MkIIb. The only reference I can find to the 01-CF25-2 here is one of your posts determining which model of P40 a panel came from. Anyway I hope that makes a little more sense! Many thanks Pat
I have had a look through Aircorps available manuals they have a couple of early manuals but not a parts manual of any kind as far as I can see. I assume they have all of the Smithsonian microfilm drawings so if I can get copies of the part and assembly illustrations I can work out how many of the drawings are available for the P40C/Tomahawk MkIIb.
I have found a few document references at Kew (UK national Archive), one of which is for AP2013a Vol 1, which is a good start!

Here's a link to T.O. 01-25CE-4, which is the Parts Catalog for the B and C. Somewhere after 10 Dec 1941, the designation could have been changed to CF from CE. There appears to be no IPC as we know them today. Back then you got a catalog that gave you part numbers in sequential order and then an alphabetical list and finally a section with the assembly breakdown of all parts requred for it.
Here's a link to 25CE-4, and you should start with page 85 of the file, as that's where the assembly parts list starts.
SOVA is a little wacked on searching, so it takes time to really find what you are looking for. You will also find stuff in very strange collections at times. I found a bunch of AAC specification drawings in a section on WACO Aircraft....
