Drawings and/or photos of the DB 600 series crankshafts are quite scarce.
The details they show vary considerably, particularly with regard to the number and arrangement of the counterweights.
Below is a drawing by Lindon Jones showing SIX counterweights.
The drawing by Max Millar ("Flight") also shows SIX counterweights but the photo in the SAE article by Raymond Young shows EIGHT.
The Table below the drawing summarizes the three references mentioned.
Does anyone have additional drawings or pics which clarify the situation?
Third picture below shows a DB 600 series crankshaft with TEN counterweights. It would be interesting to know which mark of engine this was fitted to!
