This is a great original "teaching" document from very early in the DB 605 development, dated 10.41. It does show the very close relationship between the DB 601E/F and the DB 605A/B/C. However, some detail points about the 605 were changed before production. Additionally, the DB 605 D/E/F that is covered here was never put into production. The DB 605 D was a very different engine by the time that it was produced in 1944.

Yes, similar uprated with faster supercharger and also using C3. This was probably also the C3 that killed off DB601N engines with the high boiling point problem. Notwithstanding that, they were really close to the edge with high induction temps and were doomed to go nowhere.
