One of the biggest problems with data centres is they refuse to recycle anything they use - even when it will cut their running costs. Building in recycling slows construction so it is rejected. I am not a greenie but I fully support Greens in demanding regulation on this like Finland and Norway already do.

I have trouble seeing how companies building these data centers can recoup their investments.
People have to pay to use AI and there is competition. Some brands will not make it in the long run.

You may well find that those doing the building are making their return selling it to others and it is those others who have to recoup.
