It wasn't a matter of taking a chance on Continential - it was a matter of using a certificated engine that met their needs. Continental makes good engines but Cessna has used Lycoming engines in more recent times.Kinda clears that up, of who will be making the engine, I guess they didn't want to chance having a continental engine.
