I have a pair of aircraft seats that believe may be for early P-51, perhaps other aircraft. I am looking for a pucture of the early seats to compare to mine. Any help will be appreciated. I am new to the forum. Thanks.

Early B is similar. The should be a number stamped on the seat somewhere and we can tell you for sure if you can find it.
In looking closer at the maintenence manual drawing, it's noted that it is made partially of plywood, which mine are not, and I did notice a few other minor differences. Maybe the B and C models are metal. I also have a D model seat, which is much different.

There are three different seats shown in the B/C manual but this is the one that's the closest:

The upper cross member, part 4, looks different than yours. The materials are not defined in the manual.

The seat vertical support tube in the photograph has a crank in its lower part which is missing in the seat drawings of the P-51s. So, the seat is not from a P-51.
