Lancaster B.I HK554 came to 75 Sqn squadron 2 May 1944 and destroyed a Focke Wulf 190 on an operation to Stuttgart 26 July 1944. Lost both ailerons, the navigator's sextant and maps whilst taking violent evasive action over Russelheim on the 26 August 1944. Recoded 'Z' by 23 November 1944, presumably after returning to squadron after repair work.

(Details from "Forever Strong" – Norman Franks, "Bomber Squadrons of the RAF" and ORBs.
