41-18186 320th BG, 442nd BS in takeoff crash Nov 2, 1943. 02-11-1943 Thursday

My Dad was Edward S. Larson, 442nd, 320th BG. He was crew chief of Battle #37. His first plane which was not named, Serial #41-18186, was lost on take off. Plane was a total loss but no serious injuries. This was the plane that General Doolittle flew a mission on June 10, 1943. His second plane named Shu-Shu Baby Serial #41-31960 flew to end of the war with over 150 missions. His tent mate was Olin Ray Bates chew chief on Battle #28, Little Chum, Serial #41-31573. I have a later picture of #28 serial #42-95835.
