There is something wrong here with the date of this. The aircraft is WNr. 110305 and that became Air Min 50 and was the first to be flown from Schleswig-Land to Farnborough on May 18, 1945. so ith cannot be June 6!

I just had to register and reply. Excellent picks of white 1. I can pinpoint Exactly where that plane sat when the picks were taken. Many moons ago I spent almost 2 years trying to find the "jet" that landed on that civil airfield. Thank you for the new pics!!!!

The time for this photo is not June but early May, 1945. It is taken between May 5 and May 18, 1945. Red 8, WNr. 110305 were flow out from Schleswig-Land on May 18, being captured on May 5.
I haven't been into these picks in 10 years. 305 was the number the Brit's gave it (brushing off cobwebs so fact check). It was handed over to Col. Watson and his Wizzers, flown to letchfield for an overhaul, ferried to milan France with 8 other jets. Put on a ship and taken to New York. Then flown landing in PA to end the journey at Wright Patterson AFB. 2 were lost during the movement. It is possible I am mistaking 305 with 303. I'd half to go over my archives.

It was 305, that was the last three digits of it's WrkNmr: 110305

Refresh my memory, is that the 2 seater at Willow Grove?

2 were brought over. 1 trainer and the other a night fighter

Sorry for my confusion. Looked it up. Red 8 is in Africa. I'm getting old
