If that's a sister to the B-17, then it's definitely the ugly sister. In general, I find most seaplanes aesthetically pleasing. That one fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

Great picture! probably only the 2nd picture I have seen of this prototype after its capture!

Has that turret glazing melted or was it designed to look like that? If it's the latter, then it's the most convoluted glazing design I've ever seen...and that's even considering the mess that is the nose of the Blenheim MkIV.

Oh, I get it. It's just that the rest of the forward fuselage looks relatively untouched-no scorch marks or shrapnel damage--which made me wonder if the turret area was SUPPOSED to look like that (and then I got scared and ran away!).
