However the Yak fighters in the two pic above aren't the Yak-3 but Yak-1b.

Although I can't be certain, these might be photos of a couple of the 40 Yak-3s that were delivered to France from the regiment at the war's end and were distributed among the surviving members of the unit. Only one survives, or at least is known to, this one at the Musee de l'Air, so what happened to the other 39 is what I'd like to know...
