Eduard Resin Bomb set/ Removal

Hi, real rookie here! Bought this set (Eduard Brassin 1:72 British WW2 bombs PE-Resin Detail Set #672033 ) and was trying to cut the end of the bomb away from the square resin piece and boom....parts basically disintegrated...very brittle and fragile. Now I have to buy another kit....Need some advice on how to separate pieces next time without damage. Thanks so much!!

You will need something like that razor-saw.. There is a lot of them different in shape , offered via the web. Just use the Google. The cutting has to be done gently with holding the square resin base with a hand.

Also, it's said that the resin dust can be toxic so don't blow it around or breathe it in.
