"Pivotal moment", hell, that was the very birth of Naval aviation. While it isn't all that hard to launch off a deck off the water, coming to land, after seeing that postage stamp during your approach, that's the very meaning of Naviation, to launch, then land successfully.

And I agree, this should be in the stateroom of every Naviator, and in every Ready Room on each carrier.
