Hi ian,
No, not Me 163. Not chemicals and not coolant. Inside the fatter part is a bypass valve that I think was about 7psi (0.5 atm).

No. It is Oil system. So, Werner Mölders was one of the first to operationally fly this version (in Oct 1940). This actual part is one from the version, could even have been his!
