I just rewatched a video on Armoured Carriers on the Swordfish. One of the pilots interviewed said the same thing.
It was an amazing plane.

This aircraft is featured in Tieleader's series of images, Swordfish Mk.III fitted with metal skinned lower wings for the carriage of rocket rails, with Universal carriers for lobbing small bombs as well. Note the ASW aerials on the interplane struts and the horizontal bars ahead of the cabane struts, these were used for sighting the target. Apparently the rocket firing Swordfish demonstrated good accuracy owing to its low approach speeds.
