Thanks Boom! I hope you do! It's currently "on sale" on my website. I'd lower the Amazon price too, but it's such a large and expensive book that I'm only making a few bucks per copy as it is on Amazon.

Couple of semi-related topics:

I used to attend monthly meetings of naval aviation veterans, and sure as magnetism & gravity one of the "trash haulers" demanded to know why I (and legions of others) preferred to write about "fighters, always the damned fighters."
Which of course is/was untrue. I've written 5 or 6 books about attack aircraft and pilots/crews not counting an excellent novel.
But only a couple of articles about transports & airliners.
Why, you ask?
BECAUSE THAT'S NOT WHAT READERS WANT TO BUY SO THAT'S WHAT PUBLISHERS PREFER NOT TO PRINT!

Fighter Tactics of WW II. I'm reminded of F-4/14 aviator Bob Shaw whose NINETEEN EIGHTY-FIVE tome covered contemporary VF tactics. He astutely began each chapter with an historic quote that drew as much attention as his detailed maneuvering/energy management text!

Barrett, I have all your books (including Osprey) that cover aircraft, air campaigns and naval events up to 1945. Not really into jets, my interest stops pre-1960. Now if you wrote a book about the Korean air war, historical or novel, I would buy that in a flash!

Of all the books I do have, the ones I most cherish are the two part series Dauntless and Hellcat, featuring Phil Rogers. Thought you captured the essence of that period perfectly.

The last book of yours that I bought was 'When the Shooting Stopped', a great read. 'Bout time you wrote another hmm?
