Yes, the Flettner Fl 265 seen in the pic above is during trials in 1941, including repeated takeoffs and landings from a 13 m² wide platform pad mounted on the German light cruiser Köln. The platform pad was attached to the top of the rear, next-to-last main artillery turret.
